The Nemours Family Zone is THE place for children, parents and grandparents to learn and develop their tennis skills. Youth programs on the 36 ft and 60 ft. courts are committed to developing the athlete, player and person in a dynamic environment. Through a progressive pathway, players will be challenged to reach their full potential and most importantly, have FUN and develop a passion for tennis. Adult and Adult/Child programs on the Family Zone courts offer the opportunity for families to enjoy the great sport of tennis together.
Net Generation Red Ball Team Challenge Series
The Net Generation Red Ball Team Challenge is designed as an introduction to competition for players ages 5-8 with a focus on team play as well as skill and character development. Players will register as individuals and be placed on teams each Sunday. Coaches will be on hand to assist players with scoring, court positioning and to ensure a positive play environment. An end of season party and awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, April 28th.

Nemours Family Zone Programs
Family Time (ages 3-4, Adult/Child)
Interactive adult and child playtime that introduces fundamental athletic, movement skills for tennis and all sports. Parents/Adults – bring your tennis shoes – we want you to join in the fun on court! Use of red felt and red foam balls on 36 ft. court. Racquet size: 17-19 inches Spring 2 2019 (3/25-5/26)
Red Ball Big Kids (ages 4-6)
Players will develop skills to lay the foundation for serve, rally, and score. Tennis FUNdamentals are the focus. Through engaging activities, players will develop sending, receiving and racquet handling skills as well as their ABCs (agility, balance, coordination). Use of Red Ball on the 36 ft courts. Red Ball Club (Ages 6-8)
Players will develop basic serve, rally, and score skills. Engaging partner activities and games are designed to build a player’s foundation in all tennis strokes and continue to develop athletic skills for tennis. Players will be grouped by age/ability within each program. Use of red balls on 36 ft. court. Racquet size: 19-23 inches Spring 2 2019 (3/25-5/26)
Red Ball Plus (Ages 7-8)
For players progressing from Red Ball Club and have demonstrated basic serve, rally, and score competencies. Players will develop skills to play from all areas of the 36 ft. red ball court. Focus is on developing a strong technical foundation for a complete game and further improving use of spin, direction, and tactics. Players are encouraged to participate in Team Challenges, Game Night, and other Red Ball play opportunities. Coach approval required for registration. Use of red balls on the 36 ft. court. Red Ball Performance (Ages 9+)
For players who are excelling wiht basic serve, rally, and score skills. This class puts additional emphasis on technical development while further improving accuracy, spins, and basic tactics. This class will introduce the 60 ft. court as a way to transition players into the next level. Players are encouraged to participate in Red Ball Competitions (Team Challenges, Level 8 tournaments). Play is with red and orange balls. Raquet side: 21-25 inches. Coach approval required for registration.

Big Shots Plus (Ages 9-10)
For players transitioning from Big Shots program. Players will further develop serve, rally, and score skills to make the transition to 60 ft. courts and Orange Ball Club. Focus is on improving technique in all strokes as well as building athletic skills for tennis. Use of red and orange balls on 60 ft court. Racquet size: 23-25 inches Spring 2 2019 (3/25-5/26)
Orange Ball Club (Ages 8-10)
For players transitioning from Red Ball Plus or Big Shots programs. Players will further develop skills needed for groundstrokes, serves, and net play on the 60 ft court. Use of spin, consistency, and transition skill are a focus. Participation in Orange Ball play opportunities is encouraged. Use of orange ball on the 60 ft court. Orange Ball Plus (Ages 8-10)
For players with more advanced serve, rally, and score competencies. Players are participating in Junior Team Tennis, Match Play, and/or entry level Orange Ball tournaments. Players will develop more advanced technique and tactics on the orange court. Coach approval required for registration. Use of orange ball on the 60 ft court. Orange Ball Performance (Ages 10 and under)
Designed for players who are excelling with orange fundamentals and have competed in at least one Orange Ball Level 7 tournament on the USTA Florida Youth Pathway. This class will prepare players for transition to a full court using green balls. Players will further develop net transition skills, techniques, as well as singles and doubles tactics. Play is with orange and green balls on a 78 ft. court. Racquet size: 25-27 inches. Coach approval required for registration.

Orange Ball Friday Night Fun (Ages 8-10)
Join us Friday Nights in the Family Zone! Players will experience a variety of Orange Ball game and match play formats; all designed to develop skills through level-based play. All levels of Orange Ball players welcome
1st Friday: GAME NIGHT
Enjoy your favorite high energy singles and doubles games
2nd Friday: MATCH PLAY
Focus is on developing player's competitive skills. Coaches will provide feedback during play and develop player's ability to apply technique, strategy, and tactics for competition.
3rd Friday: NET GENERATION TEAM TOURNAMENT
Players will enjoy competition in a low-pressure team environment. Players will be grouped in teams of 3 for singles, doubles play.
4th Friday: PARENT/ADULT & CHILD SOCIAL
Orange Ball Players- BYOG (Bring your own Grown-up!) out to the courts for a night of intergenerational tennis.
